Statistical physics and inference in gene-regulatory networks
Abstract
In my presentation, I will discuss statistical-physics
approaches to gene regulation. In the first lecture,
          experimental techniques for determining gene-regulatory
interactions and gene-expression profiles are reviewed,
together with the statistical-physics background for
transcription-factor binding and combinatorial control. In
the second and third lecture, I will concentrate on
approaches of inference in gene-regulatory networks. I will
touch the problem of inferring the behaviour of a known
network as well as the inverse problem of inferring the
          network from gene-expression profiles.
